WSU is seeking qualified applicants for two Data Engineers to support Wright State University’s reporting and analytic needs, guided by the institution’s data governance framework and strategic plan, by researching, designing, developing, and supporting business intelligence (BI) content. The Data Engineer I will be a dedicated member of the BI team responsible for ongoing growth and development of the University’s operational data store (ODS) and enterprise data warehouse (EDW) capabilities.

Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field and 2 years of relevant experience
- Strong working knowledge of SQL and relational databases
- Experience in systems development working with enterprise systems and third-party applications or demonstrated proficiency with software applications, technical skills and business processes
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Experience researching topics to gain knowledge and understanding when information gaps exist
- Ability to collaborate effectively with others from wide variety of backgrounds and cultures
Preferred:
- Experience using Ellucian’s Banner enterprise resource planning solution, operational data store, and enterprise data warehouse
- Experience using Microsoft Power Platform products, namely Power BI
- Experience using Oracle Data Integrator
- Experience using IData’s Data Cookbook
- Experience working in a higher education environment
