Human Resources Director
Washington Township Public Schools, a large, suburban South Jersey School District which employs over 1,400 certified and support staff, is seeking a Human Resources Director. Under the supervision of the Superintendent and School Business Administrator/Board Secretary, the Human Resources Director has oversight of all human resources processes, procedures, and policies and regulations. This individual is responsible for the administration of systems for employee recruitment, hiring, retention, discipline, benefits, employee relations, personnel record keeping/compliance reporting, mandated NJDOE staff development, Affirmative Action, and collective bargaining agreements. WTPS is seeking a dynamic individual who can implement “outside the box” thinking in recruitment efforts and seeks to be part of an incredible and innovative district. Candidates should have strong organizational and leadership skills and excellent interpersonal skills. Educational leadership in a school setting is preferred. Requires MA/MS in Educational Administration, Personnel, Labor Relations or related field and HR experience in some capacity preferred. Demonstrated ability to lead staff and management in recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and retention of staff is preferred. Human Resources Certification desirable. New Jersey Endorsement as School Principal or School Administrator or eligibility for same preferred.
