ViTALS Courier
Job Description
ViTALS courier is responsible for performing the ViTALS courier route daily, from Blacksburg to the Roanoke Valley and surrounding areas and back to Blacksbug. The courier is responsible for communicating with veterinary clinics, transporting lab samples and supplies, and scheduling maintenance of the state vehicle.
Required Qualifications
Dependable and punctual to meet routine scheduled trips/deliveries. Courteous to clients at pick up locations, ability to be flexible and respond appropriately to unforeseen situations such as traffic, delays at pick up points. Meet all university requirements related to driving state vehicles, obey university policy. Ability to work independently without immediate and direct supervision, ability to prioritize tasks, anticipate needs of the department. Possess good interpersonal skills. Must be able to safely move and handle 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous driving/courier service experience, familiarity with the New River and Roanoke Valley areas.
