Timetable & Scheduling Coordinator
Job Description
Seeking qualified individual to supervise and coordinate the scheduling and posting of the master academic schedule (Timetable of Classes) based on submissions from academic colleges and departments. Support and provide guidance to deans, department heads, and schedulers with all aspects of academic scheduling. Enter courses and make other schedule adjustments in the Student Information System database. Oversee and facilitate the scheduling of academic classroom space for classes and other events, as well as, manage final exam scheduling each term. Assess and resolve scheduling issues related to the effective use of academic space and compliance with special needs. Train internal scheduling staff and department schedulers on the Timetable building process and be a continued resource for support.
Required Qualifications
-Administrative support experience in an academic or professional office setting.
-Strong computer skills such as, data entry, word processing, spreadsheets and database applications.
-Demonstrated proficiency with current office computer software (such as Microsoft Word and Excel).
-Experience processing large volumes of work while maintaining attention to detail.
-Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact respectfully and comfortably with all individuals in a diverse and multicultural environment.
Preferred Qualifications
-Experience working with enrollment or curriculum information.
-Experience working with a large scale relational database (such as Banner).
-Experience working with room scheduling/room optimization tools/applications.
-Demonstrated experience interpreting and communicating policy and procedure requirements.
-Related experience in an academic environment.
-Supervisory and training experience.
Salary Information
Commensurate with experience up to a budget max of $41,516
