State Office Coordinator
Serves as State VCE Office Coordinator to the VCE Associate and Assistant Directors and supports other state VCE faculty and staff, including Virginia FFA; serves as resource for on-campus VCE units’ faculty and staff related to travel regulations, travel policy and reimbursements, prompt pay compliance, and accounting policies and procedures; serves as liaison with unit and state offices to include the CALS Finance, Advancement, and HR offices, Office of Sponsored Programs, VT Foundation, University Human Resources and Finance Offices related to VCE program administration; supports VCE state office functions to include travel arrangements, scheduling, and customer service functions for VCE programming; and processes human resource and performance management paperwork. This position will work as a team member with VCE administrators in orchestrating financial, administrative, and programmatic functions necessary to the development, implementation, and evaluation of Virginia Cooperative Extension programming efforts.
Bachelor Degree in business administration or related field or combination of education and applicable experience. Demonstrated experience providing financial support, such as budget planning, interpreting accounting policy and procedures, and providing fiscal oversight for grant projects. Experience generating documents and reports using various database and spreadsheet software programs such as Excel. Experience in maintaining accurate account ledgers and conducting account reconciliation. Experience creating and updating complex spreadsheets and databases. Experience making travel arrangements, submitting travel requests, and reimbursements. Ability to independently set priorities, manage tasks, and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply university policies and procedures; experience using Banner, Hokiemart, Outlook calendar and Chrome River; strong communication and customer service skills; supervisory experience; ability to work independently and as a team member; good time management skills.
