Postdoctoral Associate
The DiFeliceantonio Lab at the Fralin Biomedical Research Institute (FBRI) at VTC is currently taking applications for a post-doctoral associate. Research in the lab is focused on understanding how peripheral and central signals are integrated to influence food motivation and guide food choice. The lab uses a combination of neuroimaging (fMRI, MRI) and metabolic techniques. The goal of the current research is to understand how rewarding signals from food are integrated and how these systems might go awry in our modern food environment.
Post-doctoral scholars in the lab will be expected to work within the general research themes in the lab, although new ideas are always welcome! We will work together to create a career development and research plan suited to your background and goals. You will also be encouraged to apply for your own external funding with the full support of the PI. The successful candidate will be expected to work independently, as well as assist in the training of undergraduate and graduate students.

Required Qualifications
- PhD in Nutrition, Metabolic Biology, Neuroscience, Behavioral Neuroscience, Experimental Psychology, Biomedical Engineering, or related field.
- Willingness to work in a collaborative and supportive environment.
- Strong communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
-Experience in study design and advanced data analysis techniques.
-Demonstrated success in manuscript composition and publication.
-Experience in metabolic, blood, OR brain data collection techniques.
Salary Information
Commensurate with experience.
