The Munson Lab is hiring a Postdoctoral Associate to work on projects related to glioblastoma treatment and modeling. The applicant will contribute to multiple funded projects which involves the exploration and identification of patient relevance of novel targets in the brain tumor microenvironment. The specific work involves the implementation and testing of 3D multicellular tissue engineered patient-specific constructs, MR Imaging of interstitial fluid flow and follow up analysis in preclinical models of glioblastoma. The candidate with work with other members within the laboratory as well as clinical partners. This project includes specific milestones which must be met along a specified timeline over a two-year span. The candidate is expected to take a leadership role on this project through presentations, drafting of manuscripts, and mentorship of students involved in the project.
- Ph.D. in Bioengineering, Cancer Biology, or related discipline. PhD must be awarded no more than four years prior to the effective date of appointment with a minimum of one year eligibility remaining.
- Mammalian cell culture, fluorescence microscopy, live cell imaging, tissue engineering, immunostaining, cytokine analysis (ELISA, Multiplex, etc.).
- Track record of publications and presentations.
Experience in mentorship and/or teaching.
Commitment to diversity, inclusion and equity.
- Experience in flow cytometry, primary cell culture, animal handling and experimentation, biomaterials use/manipulation, MATLAB programming experience, image analysis.
- Experience with brain tumor models.
