Lead Housekeeping Worker
Job Description
To attend to housekeeping needs that are both routine and nonroutine in nature in order to achieve a prescribed level of sanitation, cleanliness and aesthetic appearance of all assigned residence halls and act as a liaison between upper level management and housekeeping workers. Assume supervisors duties in his/her absence and assists housekeeping supervisor by leading and directing housekeeping workers in the performance of their duties.
Required Qualifications
Previous experience with commercial/industrial cleaning methods and techniques. Prior experience with cleaning equipment and chemicals. Knowledge of OSHA and other applicable safety and health policies and procedures. Demonstrated experience directing and leading the work of others. Ability to make independent decisions and judgments in absence of the supervisor. Capable of developing a good working relationship with workers, students and professional staff.
Preferred Qualifications
Computer experience with Windows, Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook or similar software.
