Lead Assistant TeacherVirginia Tech
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the classroom teacher in curriculum planning and implementation; documentation of learning experiences with the classroom teacher and the Curriculum Director; work collaboratively with the Child Development Center for Learning & Research faculty, staff, students, and families to support amiable partnerships in a learning community. Provide administrative support to the Center as needed.
Classroom experience in early childhood setting; ability to work collaboratively in curriculum planning and implementation; ability to assist in documentation of learning experiences; strong communication and interpersonal skills is a must.
Degree in child development, early childhood education, or related field or equivalent training and experience. Administrative experience, preferably in an early childhood setting. Experience working in a NAEYC accredited and/or VSQI rated school.|Supervised experience in working with young children in groups; teaching experience; experience working with social constructivist, inquiry based approaches to education and Reggio Emilia Approach to early childhood education.
