Will support the Virginia Tech Athletics Department with the maintenance of Lawns, Landscape Material, and Landscape Bed Maintenance in and around Virginia Tech Athletics Facilities. This position will report directly to the Associate Director of Fields.
Knowledge of general mechanical maintenance of mowers, tractors, and other landscaping equipment.
Previous supervisory experience.
Must be available to work overtime hours which are required during sports seasons.
Must be able to work in all kinds of weather conditions.
Must have or be able to obtain a pesticide license.
Degree in an accredited turf program and/or related experience.
Knowledge of NCAA and conference regulations pertaining to playing fields.
Previous experience working with Division I collegiate athletics grounds unit.
Commensurate with experience.
