Job Description

Laboratory Technician, Sr. provides technical assistance related to the safe, efficient, and continuous operation of the general chemistry laboratories. This position guides students and TAs with lab concerns, assists with the preparation of standards and stock solutions for various labs, sets up experimental apparati for labs, and maintains various analytical instruments such as GCMS, AA, UVVis. KF Titrators, and Viscometers.

Required Qualifications

Experience working in a laboratory environment.| Experience using computers for tasks such as basic data entry and record keeping using established systems.| Strong communication and problem solving skills.| Ability to work with minimal supervision and demonstrate dependability and regard for laboratory safety.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in chemistry or related field or equivalent training and/or experience.| Experience with laboratory record keeping.
