Job Description

Reporting to the Director of Information Technology and Data Administration, the IT Engagement Manager will provide various levels of system, application, and technical support, as well as IT project management to units within supported departments. They will work with key stakeholders within the divisional units to identify IT needs and requirements and lead or consult on the implementation of projects that improve the operations of the unit through more efficient IT processes and systems. The incumbent will be the liaison to the divisional units and will have close coordination with other resources within the Division of Operations IT and Data Administration. The incumbent will be responsible for managing IT projects and ensuring that projects are kept on time and on budget. They will act as a technical resource and backup to others within the department. They will perform special projects at the guidance of the Director of IT and Data Administration.

Required Qualifications

Master's Degree in business, information technology, or related area; or Bachelor's degree and equivalent training and/or experience.| Experience managing projects with varying complexities, competing deadlines, and priorities.| Experience providing technical support and troubleshooting services on various platforms, including Microsoft Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android operating systems.| Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of customers and commitment to a high level of customer service.| Demonstrated problem-solving skills to quickly mitigate issues and challenges as they arise so they don't affect project outcomes.| Proficiency in general computer skills and Microsoft applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.| Demonstrated experience dealing with highly confidential and sensitive matters.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with IT service management as demonstrated through ITIL Foundation Certification.| Knowledge of compliance with state, local, and university policies and procedures.| Experience in a higher education or public sector environment| Awareness of the IT environment and structure within the university or the Division of Operations.
