Instructor of Mechanics
Job Description
The initial appointment will be for one year with the possibility of continuation dependent upon performance and availability of funding. Duties will include teaching undergraduate mechanics courses in topics such as statics, dynamics, and solid mechanics. Additional opportunities may be available to teach other undergraduate courses in engineering science and mechanics and/or biomedical engineering.
Required Qualifications
The successful candidate will have a M.S. in Engineering Mechanics, Biomedical Engineering, or a related discipline, by date of hire, with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours of courses related to engineering mechanics.
Preferred Qualifications
- A Ph.D. in Engineering Mechanics, Biomedical Engineering or a related discipline.
-Teaching experience in a university or college is preferred, especially in courses involving solid mechanics and/or advanced dynamics.
