Human Resources Coordinator
Job Description
Reporting to the Sr. Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Coordinator provides human resources support to assigned business units across the division. Responsible for human resources programs and services regarding faculty, staff, and wage appointments. delivering effective talent management for administrative professional faculty, staff, and wage employees. Responsibilities include coordination of talent acquisition, position classification, payroll, leave reporting, initial employee relations issues, and human resources administration. Independently interprets, advises and applies personnel and others policies and procedures. Provides guidance to internal clients on issues of compliance with state and federal laws, regulations and standards, and university policies and procedures regarding human resources. Conducts audits and reviews to monitor, report, and resolve any potential compliance issues. Maintain records and compile statistical reports. Analyze complex information to define and solve problems.
Required Qualifications
• Working experience that demonstrates a strong understanding of human resources management principles and practices including employment law, recruitment and staffing, payroll, and performance management.
• Ability to interpret and apply policies, exercise judgement, apply problem solving strategies to produce accurate outcomes and provide exceptional customer service.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment in a professional setting.

• Demonstrated experience monitoring compliance issues, with working knowledge of FLSA, FMLA, ADA, ADEA, I9 administration, affirmative action, Title IX, visa sponsorship, and hiring practices.
• Experience research complex human resources problems, and write well-reasoned and insightful reports and recommendations.
• Strong organizational and time management skills demonstrating the ability to work independently to organize and prioritize a variety of competing demands while meeting established deadlines.
• Experience independently developing, implementing, and maintaining accurate, auditable, and secure human resources records.
• Strong interpersonal, customer service, and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate respectfully and professionally; interact comfortably with a diverse, multicultural environment.
