Housekeeping Supervisor
Job Description
Hires, trains, supervises, inspects, evaluates, and performs corrective actions to a housekeeping staff of Schiffert Health Center. Ensures a clean, sanitary and safe environment for students, staff and visitors. Acts as a liaison between upper level management and housekeeping workers. Provide housekeeping reports to the unit manager of the facility about daily/monthly cleaning schedules, facility maintenance needs, personnel activities, and other requested information. To attend to housekeeping needs that are both routine and non-routine in nature in order to achieve a prescribed level of sanitation, cleanliness and aesthetic appearance.
Required Qualifications
Experience supervising housekeeping personnel. Previous experience with commercial/industrial cleaning methods, chemicals, and equipment; and of OSHA and other applicable safety and health policies and procedures. Excellent customer service and communication skills for interaction with employees, subordinates, students, and visitors at a large university campus. Demonstrated ability to direct and lead the work of others, ability to make independent decisions and judgments. Ability to follow and explain instructions.
Preferred Qualifications
Computer experience with Windows, Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Previous experience in a medical facility or knowledge of medical facility sanitization procedures

Additional Information
The housekeeping supervisor may be responsible for handling various hazardous materials disposed from the health center.
The successful Candidate will be required to have a criminal conviction check and a driver's check with successful driving record.
