Housekeeping Supervisor-DietrickVirginia Tech
Hires, trains, supervise, inspect, evaluate, and perform corrective actions to a housekeeping staff of a large college dining center. Assures an aesthetically pleasing, clean, sanitary and safe environment. Acts as a liaison between upper level management and housekeeping workers. Provides a housekeeping report to the unit manager of the facility about daily/monthly cleaning schedules, facility maintenance needs, personnel activities, and other requested information. Setup of dish room equipment, sorts, washes, sanitizes, dries, and stacks pots, dishes, glassware and other utensils used in preparation and service of food and dining operations. Oversees the staff and operations of the dish room.
Experience supervising housekeeping personnel in a large institutional environment. Comprehensive knowledge of commercial/industrial cleaning methods, chemicals, and commercial cleaning equipment; and of OSHA and other applicable safety and health policies and procedures. Computer experience with Windows 2000/NT, Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Pay Band 2
Starting Salary $28,600 per year
