Job Description

The Kevin T. Crofton Department of Aerospace and Ocean Engineering (AOE) is seeking a talented and self-motivated individual to serve as Graduate Program Coordinator. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the AOE Distance Learning Graduate Program. Under the direction of the Assistant Department Head of Graduate Studies, the Graduate Program Coordinator will collaboratively handle all marketing, recruiting and communication efforts surrounding the distance learning program. The candidate will create a series of marketing materials (both electronic and print) that will highlight program benefits and outcomes, maintain Distance Learning website with links and information about each program, assist in coordination of the annual AOE Graduate Recruitment Weekend and also create timelines for recruitment. The candidate will have the opportunity to travel by planning and executing virtual and in-person recruiting events with government agencies, private industry, and peer institutions. The Graduate Program Coordinator will need to have a strong commitment to incorporating concepts to increase diversity within the program and be willing to serve as graduate coordinator to all students under the distance learning program.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field and/or relevant experience
- High attention to detail, solid verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills
- Proactive and takes initiative on tasks and responsibilities
- Ability to travel for recruitment purposes
- Knowledge of student recruitment and retention issues

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in student or employee recruiting
- Experience in managing a program with successful results
- Experience in creating marketing materials and/or website design
