Fiscal Technician
Job Description
This position is responsible to properly evaluate gifts documents and record gifts and pledges of all types to the Virginia Tech Athletic Fund reflecting the wishes of our donors and according to the rules of the university, CASE guidelines, and IRS regulations. In addition, this position ensures that donor records stored in the Blackbaud and PAC databases are maintained in a complete and accurate manner. Also, properly using the varied coding schemes as necessary to reflect the unique specifics of each gift or pledge so that high quality information is available to all authorized parties in the university and the VT Foundation as well as our donors at all times. This position will responsibly handle all confidential donor information as mandated. This position will respond to queries and requests from departmental, university, foundation, and donors as appropriate.
Required Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to do detail record keeping (data entry of a complex nature) and daily reconciliation. ||Ability to professionally communicate both internally and externally with all levels of people. Demonstrated willingness to solve customer (donor) issues and build confidence with them. ||Desire and ability to work collaboratively with team. ||Demonstrated experience maintaining standards of confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with fundraising and donor relations. || Gift Entry or Accounting experience.
