Job Description

Serves as Fiscal Technician for the Dept. of English. Fiscal duties involve maintaining financial records and processing transactions for a number of accounts, including Program Funds. Responsible for reconciling accounts monthly in accordance with State and University guidelines. This position will also assist Program Directors with all aspects of visiting speaker arrangements (Invitation letters, travel, honorarium payments, etc) Position will also provide general administrative duties for the Department.

Required Qualifications

Demonstrated experience maintaining and reconciling accounts.
Customer service experience working with people from a wide variety of backgrounds.
Some basic experience with financial reporting.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Banner or an equivalent financial record keeping system.
Experience with HokieMart or an equivalent purchasing system.
