Data Integrity Coordinator
Job Description
Assists with maintenance and review of person and nonperson records in Advancement database. The position will be responsible for the following: Assisting with maintenance of a data integrity program that will focus on accuracy of constituent data records, procedural documentation and required programming.
Responsible for maintaining a proactive annual plan for identifying and updating data that is incorrect or out of date. Responsible for assisting with data load processes. Annually review, and modify where needed, the plan for identifying and combining duplicate records. Develop and monitor key metrics to assess the effectiveness of the data integrity program. Recommend procedures for entering and updating records to be in compliance with general data entry standards provided by the university and Advancement data policy group. Implement and follow best practices for maintenance and enhancement of Advancement database data. Work effectively with multiple units within University Advancement and key departments outside Advancement to identify and resolve issues relative to maintenance of accurate, complete and accessible information.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent level of training and or experience; experience using a relational database system built on complex table structures such as Oracle; experience supporting moving data among records in the Advancement database system; ability to manage projects, identify objectives and goals and meet deadlines; track record of providing effective solution oriented customer service in a fast paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with database systems; data entry project management experience in an environment requiring maintenance, updating and auditing of work; technical writing experience; experience using SQL or other procedural programming language necessary for writing ad-hoc queries to identify data inconsistencies; knowledge of referential integrity (parent/child) relationship among the database tables; experience in higher education working with database information.
