Certified Medical Assistant
Job Description
Serves as a certified Medical Assistant, under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians in an outpatient setting. Responsibilities include assisting practitioners and patient education, will be cross trained to work in the Women's Clinic
Required Qualifications
Licensure to practice as a CMA in the State of Virginia; Graduate of a formal medical assistant program. Certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants. Excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to establish and maintain successful and effective relationships with diverse, multicultural student and staff population while demonstrating empathy to patients. Experience working in a medical facility with adolescent and adult patients.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in an outpatient setting; previous experience working in a higher education medical/clinical environment; computer experience including electronic medical records.
