Assoc Dir of Dev for AthleticVirginia Tech
The Associate Director of Development for Intercollegiate Athletics will assist the Sr. Associate Athletic Director of Development/Executive Director of the Hokie Club in carrying out the duties and responsibilities for the comprehensive development program on behalf of Intercollegiate Athletics. This highly motivated professional, working closely with the Sr. Associate Athletic Director of Development/Executive Director of the Hokie Club, will assist in the planning and implementation of the overall fundraising efforts in support of current operations, endowment, and capital projects from all private sources. He will fulfill the duties under the direction of, and in close cooperation with, the University's Central Development Office, with immediate supervision provided by the Sr. Associate Athletic Director of Development/Executive Director of the Hokie Club.
Bachelor's degree and experience or Master's degree required.|
Successful track record in fundraising required.
Demonstrate an appreciation for and the ability to articulate the importance of athletics facilities and scholarship needs for student-athletes recruitment in providing leadership opportunities for current and future students.
Ability to understand and articulate the priorities of Intercollegiate Athletics as evidenced in strong communication skills, written and verbal, organizational and interpersonal skills required.
Demonstrated experience to motivating volunteers and donors
Will be self motivated, and embraces the concept and attitude of teamwork in a complex organization.
Demonstrated experience in higher education fundraising
