Job Description

Full-time position to assist in the enhancement of the future of agriculture in Campbell County. Assist with adult/youth agriculture programming which focuses on safe and educational activities in various settings (afterschool, inschool enrichment, agriculture related clubs, workshops, day camps, farmer's markets, community gardens, agriculture related 4-H programs, etc.). Will work alongside and assist Campbell County Economic Development Office and Campbell County Extension Agents to manage/facilitate the delivery of agriculture related programs and grant opportunities to accomplish related activities as well as research and develop sustainability options for agriculture. Responsible for planning, implementation, and evaluation of innovative approaches to reach Campbell County citizens and build community-wide support for agriculture.

Required Qualifications

Basic knowledge of agriculture sustainability and 4-H/youth agriculture related issues. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Ability to recruit, train, and manage volunteers. Experience in developing positive interactions with the public. Must be well organized and able to work with minimal supervision. Familiarity and experience with computers including social media and Microsoft office.

Preferred Qualifications

Minimum of high school diploma or GED with related work experience.
