Administrative Assistant
Job Description
This position provides administrative support to the Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost. Responsibilities include serving as the office receptionist, managing calendars; answering and forwarding incoming calls; scheduling and coordinating meetings, conferences and conference rooms; ordering supplies; processing mail; assisting with special projects; preparing meeting materials; data entry and other routine office duties.
Required Qualifications
Strong customer service orientation. Professional office experience in an academic or business setting; experience with computer software such as Word, Excel, and Outlook; must demonstrate strong attention to detail; ability to prioritize work and be willing to work both independently and cooperatively in a team atmosphere; demonstrate discretion in working with confidential information; ability and desire to work with people from diverse backgrounds. Must have strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong working experience in calendar management, including the coordination of complex executive meetings; ability to thrive while working on multiple tasks simultaneously; ability to use good judgment to resolve issues with minimal supervision.
