4-H Program Assistant - Albemarle County
Job Description
4H Youth Development program seeks individual to work with 4H staff, youth, adults, families, and community resources to deliver and evaluate 4H educational programs designed to teach life skills to children and families. Programs will include educational activities, contests, and camps in support of the 4H program with special emphasis on in-school and out-of-school programming. Work will include assisting the Extension Agent, 4H Youth Development, to provide training and management for volunteers. Must be willing to adhere to the Virginia Cooperative Extension Civil Rights and Equal Opportunity Compliance Program.
Required Qualifications
Knowledge and/or experience in working with children and adults in an educational setting. Ability to work independently and in collaboration with other professionals and volunteers. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to deliver educational and promotional materials. Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Word, Publisher and internet applications.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of the 4H program desirable.

Work schedule may include weekends and evenings
Must provide own transportation on a regular basis
