Chief Purpose of This Position:
The Department of Radiation Oncology at Virginia Commonwealth University Health System is seeking Radiation Oncologists interested in providing clinical coverage during times of physician absence at our affiliated facilities. The department provides radiation oncology physician services at five sites. Position Responsibilities:
As an important part of our departmental team, part-time Radiation Oncologists consistently provide excellent clinical care to our patient populations in ways that reflect current professional practice norms and skills and remain consistent with accepted medical practice guidelines. They will collaborate with our faculty, nursing, physics, dosimetry, and technician teams to improve patient outcomes, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and promote patient safety and satisfaction.

The clinical services we offer currently include: IGRT, IMRT, image-guided brachytherapy, total body irradiation, stereotactic radiosurgery, and stereotactic body radiotherapy. Across all of our sites, we manage six Linear Accelerators and four CT simulators, with our downtown location highlighting an MR simulator, PET CT simulator, and MR LINAC (ViewRay).
