Position Summary:
VCU School of Business is seeking diverse qualified candidates to apply for the position of Director, Graduate Program Recruitment. Under the Associate Dean's direction and support, this position is the primary liaison and leader of all strategic recruitment and enrollment for VCU School of Business' portfolio of Master's programs which includes initiatives within the Graduate studies department. This role interfaces with multiple external partners and internal partners across campus and works directly with the executive administrative and academic leadership of the VCU School of Business.
Typical Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of a strategic recruiting plan for the enrollment of high quality & diverse students across the portfolio of VCU School of Business' Master's programs.
- Collaborate with the Associate Dean to identify/maintain recruiting collaborations and synergies, and define a competitive and unique market position for all full-time Master's programs.
- Identify current and future market trends for student needs, recruiter requests, and changes in job market requirements that allow the Master's programs to remain at the cutting edge of graduate business education.
- Plan & implement recruiting and outreach programming that attracts a quality Master's applicant pool, increases program visibility, increases student yield, decreases student melt, meets enrollment targets and ensures a diverse student body.
- Leverage a data-driven approach to analyzing the graduate education market & recommend appropriate courses of action to the Associate Dean
- Lead collaboration with Marketing & Communications to develop appropriate web and social media content, print material, and correspondence for recruitment purposes.
- Work directly with the Associate Dean and Graduate Admissions to develop eligibility standards, admissions criteria and Financial Aid/Scholarship parameters in line with strategic and financial goals
- Oversee evaluation of applicants based on academic background, test scores, professional experience, career goals and other attributes; plan candidate interview process to assess focus and communication skills in line with VCU School of Business' values and principles; coordinate recommendations of admissions actions.
- Manage student enrollment, enrollment targets, and summarizing reports for internal and external audiences.
- Manage the Slate CRM process and identify other technologies to increase efficiency and outreach
- Ensure admissions goals are met, maintaining high quality academic standards.
- Provide leadership in the development of systems that gather student, alumni, and employer feedback.
- Assists with general oversight of budget and related expenditures, if applicable
- Attends events to market VCU School of Business and speaks to audiences and groups at conferences
- Bachelor's degree with previous experience in college admissions, recruitment, and/or advising OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience working in graduate program admissions.
- Experience with admissions/recruitment CRM.
- Experience developing recruitment strategy.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations and foster a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks and responsibilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Experience working with college students and working professionals.
- Experience working with office software, spreadsheets, and databases.
- Experience in special event and project planning.
- Ability to work outside traditional work hours, including periodic evenings/weekends and occasional overnight travel.
- Master's degree
- Experience with Slate CRM system
- Experience with graduate business program recruitment

This position is eligible for a hybrid and flexible work schedule once training is complete and must be coordinated with the supervisor of this role. This position must be on site during events.
Typical Schedule: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week, but does require periodic evenings/weekends and occasional overnight travel.

Salary Range: $75,000-85,000
