THIS IS A GRANT-FUNDED POSITION
JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The Research Technician 2 works on a RO1 grant in partnership with the National Institute of Aging. The project is a multi-site, collaborative project designed to examine pain thresholds in individuals with stage 4 Cancer and Alzheimer's disease. This position will include activities related to database management, lab maintenance, specific research projects, and regulatory documentation.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Recruit research participants via cold-calling, emails, presentations, etc.
- Drives to homes and other data collection sites for in-person data collection.
- Assists in gift card compensation, regulatory documentation, and other aspects of data collection, storage, and processing, per sponsor and site-specific protocols.
- Assists in all phases of data collection, data management, and regulatory processes.
- Assumes responsibility for documentation compilation and reporting of quality checks on data to the Principal Investigator.
- Maintains regulatory documentation from all participating institutions.
- Assists in tracking and organizing documents, supplies, materials, etc.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Neuroscience, or a related field. (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED)
EXPERIENCE: OR a combination of college coursework and work experience to equal eight (8) years. (One (1) year of research experience preferred). A valid Driver’s License and personal vehicle are required. GCP and HIPAA certifications are required as soon as possible once employment begins.

- Ability to recruit a specialized group of individuals.
- Skill in giving presentations, making cold calls, and meeting individuals in their homes.
- Ability to interact with a diverse population.
