The Department of Oral Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Medicine invites applications for full-time tenure track faculty positions at the Assistant Professor level.
We are seeking candidates with strong academic accomplishments in bioinformatic sciences, cellular/molecular biology, virology, and neuroscience to complement a research focus within our department. The department's research interests include stem cell biology related to neuroscience, inflammation, and virology and their impact on neurodegeneration and neurodevelopment. A strong track record of extramural grant funding, as well as an interest in teaching basic sciences to dental students are encouraged.
Qualifications
Applicants with a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, including dual degrees (DMD/DDS-PhD, MD-PhD, DVM-PhD, PharmD- PhD) will be considered. A strong track record of extramural grant funding and publications, as well as an interest in teaching basic sciences to dental students, are encouraged.
