Job Description

The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Women's Health seeks a research specialist II. The successful candidate will assist investigators in clinical and translational research projects involving human subjects through the Research Success Core. They will assist with compliance, recruitment of research subjects and processing of specimens and data.
Job duties and responsibilities:

Prepares studies and reports that assist senior level associates
Performs a variety of standard assignments and responsibilities and makes recommendations for improvement/efficiency, as necessary
Conducts various analyses, reports and research based on specialized procedures
Uses existing procedures to solve standard problems and uses problem solving skills to modify procedures
Analyzes information and standard practices to make judgements
Works within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet established deadlines
Exchanges straightforward information, asks questions, and ensures understanding
Develops working relationships with immediate, related teams
Manages time for ongoing projects to identify participants and meet at appointment time to request specimens
Performs laboratory preparation and storage of human specimens
Institutional Review Board submission and maintenance
Conduct Human subject enrollment and follow-up visits
Collects and organizes clinical research data

Shift

Monday – Friday
8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience and at least 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $18.50 - $21.00 hourly
Grade: GGS - 008
