Job Summary
This position and related job responsibilities is critical to the overall Department of Pediatrics and the College of Medicine serving as a resource for the medical students and OME. This position serves as the main point of contact for the voluntary faculty for the Department of Pediatrics.
This position interacts with colleagues in academic medicine, both internal and external to UK. This associate must possess strong ethical standards, be able to interact with and represent UKHC, the COM, KCH, and the Department of Pediatrics, and uphold professional and confidentially requirements. The associate will be organized, have excellent time-management abilities, and be detail-oriented.
This position has been identified as supporting UK HealthCare, which receives funding from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services ( CMS). Therefore, all individuals hired into this position must comply with the federal CMS mandate issued in March of 2022. This mandate requires all new hires to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or obtain an approved medical or religious exemption as a condition of employment. Start of employment cannot occur until two weeks after receiving the full COVID-19 vaccination series or upon obtaining an approved exemption. Only vaccines approved by the World Health Organization can be accepted.
