Instructor - Program Lead - Recreation
- General Definition of Work
Design, plan and lead recreational programs for a variety of activities/classes on a seasonal, ongoing or temporary basis. Programs may be oriented toward any age group. Program lead will be required to have superior knowledge of the field or topic that is being taught or lead in the program.

- Assist with the development and implementation of program curriculum and advertising of the program.
- Maintain list of program needs and materials and communicate with designated supervisor.
- Works closely with the Program Supervisor in implementing schedule of program.
- Lead and supervise the program and all participants.
- Prepares areas and locations in preparation of programs; obtains and stores equipment in proper area in an organized manner.
- Enforces all safety rules.
- Upholds and enforces department policies.
- Reports definite as well as potential physical hazards in unsafe conditions of the facility and equipment to the Program Supervisor.
- Effectively communicates problems to the Program Supervisor and Department staff or others.
- Program lead must possess strong oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
A combination of education, experience and training equivalent to requirement to implements and educate during the program. Must be at least 18 years of age. Must complete and pass background screening.
