Mortgage Loan Closer
The Mortgage Loan Closer looks over all paperwork to ensure the collected data is accurate, organized properly, meets state and federal regulations, and on track for the loan to be funded.
Candidates must be self-motivated with strong attention to detail and be results driven. Customer service, organization and effective problem-solving skills in a team environment are fundamental for the position. Ability to work in a fast pace environment balancing loan files, responding to emails and meeting deadlines.
Responsibilities include but are not limited and may vary depending on the needs of the department:
- Coordinates the closing schedule with the title company and provides them with a settlement document for review and approval.
- Provides settlement company with complete closing package for buyer to sign at closing
- Delivers the final loan estimate and closing disclosure to borrower and real estate agents for review prior to closing
- Resolves any issues expeditiously to get loans closed on time
- Answers questions, ensures everyone is on the same timeline, and keeps the process moving forward according to plan
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Minimum of two (2) years' experience as a residential mortgage loan closer (required)
- Knowledge of TRID guidelines (required)
- Experience with delivery to FHA/VA and Conventional Investors
- Ability to work in a high volume environment
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
- Good organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills are necessary for maintaining effective relationships with other department employees and management
- Maintaining confidentiality and good business judgment in performing daily duties is required
- Effective and polite communication (written and verbal) skills

- Planning, Organization & Time Management
- Computer Skills/Microsoft Office Suite
