Job Summary

Reporting to the Campus President, the Vice President for Corporate Solutions & Economic Development is responsible for developing strategic business alliances between Tarrant County College (TCC) and the corporate community as well as governmental, trade association, and workforce entities to better enable TCC to meet the changing education and training needs of the region's labor force.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Performance Requirements*
  • Sells customized corporate solutions and programs that address the talent gaps of businesses, industries, and trade associations
  • Develops and implements a strategic sales and delivery process that aligns directly with revenue generation models
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with external businesses and appropriate workforce development community organizations
  • Assists the campus president with identifying and developing strategic external partnerships to build collaborative initiatives that deliver corporate business solutions for the purposes of advancing the college's ability to respond to the work force needs of the region.
  • Represents the college in external collaborative partnership opportunities and strategic alliances
General Supervision and Management
  • Provides leadership for the Corporate Services department
  • Supervises professional staff with the responsibilities of hiring, training, evaluating, and mentoring
  • Provides direction, on-going monitoring, and support to direct reports
Service Excellence
  • Participates on behalf of the College in external community organizations and associations as assigned to support the essential performance requirements
  • Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
  • Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC)
  • Supports the mission, values, goals, and principles of the College

Works under the general supervision of the Campus President

Required Minimum Qualifications
  • Master's degree
  • Five (5) years' working experience related to the Essential Performance Requirements
  • Three (3) years' experience supervising (e.g., managing and evaluating the performance of others)
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least one (1) year's working experience with business negotiation, data-driven decision-making, business consultations, and project management
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of corporate sales structures and revenue-generating models
  • Knowledge of business assessment and planning
  • Skilled in successful corporate sales
  • Skilled in data management, analysis, and decision making
  • Skilled in developing strategic business alliances
  • Ability to develop, foster, and maintain corporate and community client relationships
  • Ability to partner with internal entities to build programs
