The Department of Human Resources at Upstate Medical University (Upstate) in Syracuse, NY, is currently looking for an HRIS Data Analyst & an HRIS Applications Analyst.
#74332- HRIS Data Analyst
The Data Analyst provides IT support for human resource information systems (HRIS). Responsible for HR data analysis, developing queries and programs to extract and present information, data conversion and manipulation, HR data integrity. The HRIS Data Analyst uses SQL and other standard Upstate data extraction and reporting tools to provide operational and key performance metrics for both internal and external use. The HRIS Data Analyst creates appropriate user documentation and procedures, and assists in training users on new or updated functionality.
The successful candidate will have previous experience with data analysis and design, programming and/or SQL databases.
#74428- HRIS Applications Analyst
The Applications Analyst provides information technology support for human resource information systems (HRIS). Responsible for overall system performance and maintenance, ensuring information security, testing updates, and improving process efficiency. The HRIS Applications Analyst constantly monitors system performance and identifies processes in need of improvement. Once a new HRIS product or change has been implemented, the HRIS Applications Analyst provides production support, which includes researching and resolving problems. Applications Analysts gather HRIS data using built-in reporting tools or by running SQL queries to perform data analysis and ensure that the system is properly recording specific metrics. The Applications Analyst creates appropriate user documentation and procedures, and assists in training users on new or updated functionality.
The successful candidate will have previous experience with process modeling, re-engineering, programming and/or SQL databases.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Information Technology, plus 3-5 years of relevant experience. Excellent written/verbal communication, computer, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills necessary.
