Network Administrator
Stone Ridge is seeking a Network Administrator in our Information Technology department to begin work as soon as possible.
Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart, a member of the international Network of Sacred Heart Schools, is a Catholic, independent college preparatory school for girls, Grades 1-12, with a co-educational Early Childhood Program, Pre-Kindergarten, and Kindergarten in Bethesda, Maryland. With over 750 students, and rooted in the Goals of Sacred Heart education, Stone Ridge inspires young women to lead and serve, through lives of purpose that integrate faith, intellect, community, social action, and personal growth in an atmosphere of wise freedom.
The Network Administrator is responsible for:
- managing and maintaining the school's network infrastructure and services, including the installation, administration and management of switches, routers, wireless access points, servers, VOIP phones and other related equipment.
- monitoring the network to ensure that it is performing optimally and take proactive steps to prevent and address issues.
- managing relationships with network vendors to ensure that the school is getting the best possible service and support.
- managing and administering policies and user data in key network systems (Comstar, AD, Google Workspace, etc).
- managing and overseeing the school's data storage systems, ensuring data is backed up and stored securely.
- managing data and documentation on network systems and providing this analysis upon request.
- participating in cybersecurity assessments and making recommendations to improve security posture. Supporting implementation of cybersecurity initiatives.
- providing technical support to faculty, staff and students on network-related issues.
- overseeing the security and accuracy of all core network data and systems
- providing Tier support on network systems.
- working closely with other members of the IT team
- developing and implementing network-related policies and procedures
- participating in the school's professional growth program
This is a 12-month position.

Essential Skills and Experience:
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in network administration
- Strong knowledge of networking technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN and VLANs
- Experience with network security measures, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention and access controls
- Experience with network management tools
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Strong organization and documentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to earn the trust of staff and students
