EARLY HEAD START EDUCATION MANAGER
Early Head Start Education Manager
The Education Manager is responsible for managing, organizing, executing, facilitating, and directing the necessary functions of the Early Head Start program at our Rocky Mount, VA location. Primary responsibilities include supervision of multiple classrooms, assuring regulatory and legal compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, communicating with parents and the community. Supervision and monitoring of all education staff assigned to the Early Head Start Rocky Mount, VA site.
Qualifications:
-Minimum of a Bachelor’s in Early Child Education or related field required; some coursework in Educational Leadership with equivalent coursework in Administration, Leadership or Management preferred.
-Three or more years of experience in the early childhood education profession (preferably in Early Head Start or Head Start – non-profit early care and education).
-Three or more years of experience in an administrative/supervisory position.
-Strong knowledge of infant/toddler and early childhood development.
-Experience with research-based curriculums, accreditation and Virginia Child Care Licensing Standards.
-Knowledge of Head Start Program Performance Standards preferred.
-Strong oral and written communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office, basic computer and mathematic skills.
-Must exhibit strong organizational skills and strategic thinking.
-Attention to detail with the ability to perform assignments efficiently and accurately.
-Experience working with children and families of diverse backgrounds and needs.

Starting salary range: $46,730.25 – $54,054.05. Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, disability insurance, PTO, and 401K.
