Mechanical Project Engineer

Spectrum Design, PC is looking for a Full Time Mechanical Project Engineer to work in our downtown Roanoke, Virginia office.  We are a full-service architecture and engineering firm.  We specialize in the design of educational facilities, historical preservation of older buildings, museums and performing arts, residential and senior living communities, municipal and government buildings.

This position will be responsible for the design of HVAC systems for our various project types, including educational, civic, arts and commercial buildings.  Strong communication skills, the ability to work in a team environment, and willingness to mentor staff are required.  Must be a licensed Mechanical Engineer in the Commonwealth of Virginia.  7-10 years of professional experience preferred.

Must be proficient in design load calculations and energy modeling programs (Trace, ComCheck), Word and Excel.  Proficiency in REVIT preferred.
