Accounting and Development Coordinator
Accounting and Development Coordinator for Martinsville Henry County SPCA. Full-time position handles all bookkeeping and development database management functions. Salary commiserate with experience; plus, all the pups and kitties you can adopt.
Essential Job Functions:
Financial Management Support:
Record and report all financial transactions using accounting software.
Record all cash receipts and properly document all cash disbursements and expenses.
Reconcile daily receipts and enter into the accounting system correctly and in a timely manner.
Process all accounts payable invoices and checks in a timely manner.
Assure that all funds (cash) in the safe are reconciled and deposited at least twice a week.
Assure that checks from donations and front desk are copied, recorded and filed on a daily basis.
Assure the proper separation of fund intake, reconciliation and accounting.
Prepare and review bi-weekly Payroll for all employees.
Act as the backup person in charge of all payroll related issues and time clock submissions.
Review bi-weekly hours to ensure alignment with yearly budget priorities and goals.
Track paid time off based on employee manual.
Prepare and submit payroll tax returns.
Notify Board Treasurer of any concerns and /or irregularities.
Prepare other financial filings such as sales and use tax, payroll tax forms, processing unemployment claims or coordinate with our outside Auditor as necessary.
