Various Positions at Town Creek Assisted Living Facility in Lovingston
Region Ten’s recruitment efforts to staff the assisted living program in Lovingston is underway! Motivated and enthusiastic applicants are being sought to fill multiple roles supporting the safe and effective provision of service to adults with mental illness, and mental illness with substance use disorder diagnosis.
We have openings for the following full-time positions open:
Community Services Associate I, Direct Care Staff
Provide general care essential to caring for personal needs and activities of daily living, such as monitoring vital signs, bathing, dressing, ambulating toileting and conducts social and daily living skills training programs. Will monitor resident signaling system, participate in checking and stocking monthly medications, and as directed will administer insulin to diabetic consumers and assist with medication management under direction of nursing staff and pharmacists. One year of direct care work experience in a long term care facility is preferred. Valid Virginia’s driver’s license and acceptable driving record are required. Must meet Medicaid-designated Un-Qualified Para Professional (UPP) credential at hire and must meet Qualified Para Professional (QPP) criteria after one year.
Community Services Associate II, Medication Aide
Provide general care essential to caring for personal needs and activities of daily living, such as monitoring vital signs, bathing, dressing, ambulating toileting and conducts social and daily living skills training programs. Will monitor resident signaling system, participate in checking and stocking monthly medications, and as directed will administer insulin to diabetic consumers and assist with medication management under direction of nursing staff and pharmacists. One year of direct care work experience in a long term care facility is preferred. Valid Virginia’s driver’s license and acceptable driving record are required. High school degree required. Must currently hold a license as a Registered Medication Aide in the state of Virginia.
Community Services Associate III, Shift Manager
Position serves to implement training/ behavioral programs as scheduled for each consumer, counsels and supports consumers during participation in ALF routines and activities, and may attending PSR Day program to assist individual attending. Incumbent acts as the shift lead when working without the presence of the Director or Program Manager. Will facilitate repair of durable and consumer equipment such as glasses, hearing aids or wheelchairs and administer medication, completing accurate MARS. College degree in a human services field or Virginia Certification as an LPN and a valid Virginia’s driver’s license and acceptable driving record are required. QMHP in a long term care facility is preferred. Medication Technician certification required (Training will be provided).
Food Services Assistant II
Responsible for providing food preparation and service complying with safe food handling techniques. Will maintain clean food preparation areas and equipment, stock food products and supplies, lifting up to 50 pounds, and interact with residents in a positive manner while adhering to confidentiality policy at all times. Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions and a knowledge of safe food handling and universal precautions is required. Must be able to cook and serve a wide variety of meals and food types, including special diet orders under the supervision of the Food Services Coordinator. Valid Virginia driver’s license is preferred.
