JOB POSTING TO FILL 2 POSITIONS
The Online Operations Technician provides vital operational, technical, and customer support for teaching faculty and distance learning students. The Online Operations Technician is responsible for live operational support, customer support, systems administrative responsibilities, and other technical projects related to the quality delivery of Digital Learning distributed (synchronous/asynchronous) educational content to and from students and instructors. This includes operating electronic/mediated classes, studios, labs, customizable instructional spaces, and control rooms for timely transmission, reception, and recording of synchronous/asynchronous programming over 2-way videoconferencing, recording devices or other multimedia devices/ formats.

Knowledge, skills and abilities
In-depth knowledge of the operation of all systems and hardware used in the production and delivery of online live distance education, including understanding of the operation of equipment such as audio/video monitors, characters generators, microphones, cameras, video control devices, audio production mixers, and understand the best practices for quality audio and video. Working knowledge of computer networks (LANs and WANs) and computer workstations, video, and audio teleconferencing software programs such as Zoom or Webex, videoconferencing related equipment such as codecs and scheduling software, digital video encoders and servers, and associated telecommunication equipment used to produce live programs. Knowledge of effective customer service and problem resolution techniques. Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work independently and with minimal supervision. Demonstrated ability to establish effective working relationships with customers, supervisors, staff, faculty, site staff, Digital Learning technical support staff, telecommunication vendors, and all external clients.

Considerable experience in a distance education, government training, commercial, or business television environment.
Additional Considerations (supplemental knowledge, skills, abilities, education, experience, licensure, certification)
Significant related studies from trade schools, or equivalent combination of education and experience. FCC license. Some higher Education experience.
Conditions of Employment
OVertime hours worked by this position are compensated with leave rather than pay.
Campus position, working 40 hours a week. The schedule will require flexibility with day and evening hours.
Annual Salary/Hourly Rate
Salary range between $ - 41,655 - $45,900
