OVERVIEW
Special Deliveries is a program that works with prenatal women and families with children under age 5 by using a home visitation model of practice. This position will assist in providing individualized services for parents and children who may experience mental health concerns and/or substance use issues. Position provides clinical services for individuals with mental illness, substance use disorders and/or developmental disabilities and their families. Also provides supportive counseling, individual and family therapy, crisis intervention, assessment, ISP development, psycho-education and referrals to clients and their families. Position promotes communication among all parties providing services to the client and participates in treatment planning meetings, as needed, to ensure continuity of care.
Cell phone, laptop, weekly supervision and mileage reimbursement provided.
QUALIFICATIONS
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master's degree in Social Work or human services related field, with at least one year of experience in a setting working with children and adults with needs in the area of mental health, substance use disorders, intellectual/developmental disabilities is required.
Must be registered as a LMHP or LHMP-E, or meet the qualifications as QMHP or QMHP trainee as set forth by the board of counseling. For more information about QMHP Registration: https://www.dhp.virginia.gov/counseling/counseling_forms.htm
