Seasonal Part-time Field and Trail Maintenance Worker

Nelson County Parks and Recreation is seeking experienced and qualified applicants for a field and trail maintenance worker. Responsibilities include: maintenance on trails, park areas, and/or facility maintenance and repair, lining of various sports fields, some light landscaping, trash and debris collection, and equipment cleaning. Successful candidate must have a valid/unrestricted driver's license and be able to operate a variety of tools and equipment associated with various trades that will be provided by the County; such as: weed trimmer, chainsaw, zero turn mower, and field line marker. Experience with tractor and bush-hog is preferred but not required. Employment is during August, September and October approximately 80 hours per month and on-call at other times during the year.
