Trauma Coding Registry Specialist
Under supervision, manages, modifies, and maintains a comprehensive utilization and quality database; develops, generates, publishes, and distributes quality and utilization reports, analyzes data for trends and improvement opportunities. Acts as a consultant regarding clinical data solutions and performance metric reporting. Knows and applies fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures in the field. Some evaluation, originality, or ingenuity is required. ICD-10 knowledge, RHIT background, and medical terminology are all great tools to have to be successful in this position. Will consider someone in a REMOTE setting if they have years of experience in TRAUMA REGISTRY if not this position is in Memphis, TN. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or closely related field
- A combination of education and directly related experience in healthcare information systems/decision support may be considered instead of the degree.
- Minimum of five (5) years experience in a related business support role.
- Minimum of one year experience in database development and applications (healthcare environment preferred).
- Must know trauma registries such as V5 Collector, ImageTrend, TraumaOne, and TraumaBase.
- All knowledge of any version of AIS is acceptable.
