ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR FOR EMERGING TALENT, MIT Jameel World Education Lab at MIT Open Learning, to oversee the day-to-day activities and overall direction of MIT Emerging Talent and MIT Refugee Action Hub (ReACT) programs while building links to other J-WEL activities in the global South and emerging economies, and deliver significant relevant contributions to J-WEL’s work in innovation. Will develop relationships with educational, entrepreneurial, governmental, and corporate entities interested in working with MIT through these and other Open Learning offerings to reach entrepreneurially and technically inclined learners across the world in ways that leverage MIT content/resources.

Job Requirements
REQUIRED: undergraduate degree; at least four years' relevant experience; experience managing complex projects, including setting goals, establishing timelines, managing budgets, tracking workflows, and meeting deliverables; and a track record of building and maintaining partnerships with companies, universities, government, and community organizations to develop financial sustainability for program needs and shore up stakeholder support. Must be able to set priorities and coordinate multiple tasks, meet competing deadlines, and deliver results against negotiated deliverables; shepherd contracts through internal and external processes; work strategically, define opportunities, and design feasible tests and projects to explore and refine plans; develop a sustainable business model over time; build consensus, negotiate, and work across social and geographic boundaries; and effectively engage with senior faculty, university administrators, and outside stakeholders in all sectors. PREFERRED: advanced degree; instructional design and curriculum development experience; familiarity with media (video, podcasts) and platform development for program delivery; social media and other platform communication expertise; management experience in an educational environment; experience working with underrepresented communities; and technical background in computing, e.g., data science, AI, or cybersecurity. Must be able to travel internationally and domestically every few months.
