We have an opening for a full time Full Stack Developer with AWS experience to join our growing Keltron team. The individual's primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and maintain both front-end and back-end applications. Your expertise in UI development will be crucial in creating visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces. The candidate will be responsible for leveraging AWS services to build scalable, secure, and efficient solutions.
This position reports directly to the Lead Engineer located in Roanoke, VA. The company has other locations in Boston, MA and Vero Beach, FL. Candidates with the ability to directly commute to Roanoke, VA via air/car are encouraged to apply.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain web applications with a focus on UI development using modern technologies and frameworks.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

Utilize your expertise in AWS services to architect and implement scalable, secure, and highly available solutions.

Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following industry best practices.

Conduct thorough testing and debugging of applications to ensure high-quality deliverables.

Optimize application performance and responsiveness through code and infrastructure enhancements.

Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends. Propose innovative solutions to improve development processes and deliverables.

Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and ensure adherence to established standards.
Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer.

Strong proficiency in web framework Django or the like.

Solid understanding of back-end development concepts, including server-side languages (e.g., Node.js, Python) and databases (e.g., PostgreSQL).

Extensive experience with AWS services, including but not limited to EC2, S3, Route 53.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and analytically since you will be active in the design and implementation phases.

Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies.

Familiarity with UX design principles and the ability to create visually appealing and intuitive user interfaces.
Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced AWS certifications, such as AWS Certified Developer or AWS Certified Solutions Architect.

Knowledge of RESTful API design principles.

Working knowledge of containers and their deployment.

Understanding of cybersecurity best practices and principles.
