New Business Development Specialist
The Institute of Certified Professional Managers (ICPM) is seeking an experienced professional to proactively seek and identify new business opportunities. The Institute of Certified Professional Managers (ICPM) is a center in the College of Business at James Madison University. ICPM develops and certifies the competency of managers internationally.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Research competitors, market conditions and industry to better create strategies to achieve sale fulfillment
• Conduct both primary and secondary research in the determination of prospective lead generation and market share growth strategies
• Develop marketing strategy with established metrics for measuring results
• Identifies topics for both inbound and outbound marketing campaigns
• Coordinate with Lead Development Specialist in the creation and design of materials to better enhance branding and sales throughout the institute
• Maintain industry and market trend knowledge through attendance in meetings, classes, workshops or trade shows/Expos as needed
• Develop and implement effective sales strategy to increase sales across the institute's products and services
• Foster relationships with business partners, potential clients, and business contacts to enhance organizations brand
• Develop new business from existing clients and actively seek new sales opportunities
• Determine and meet sales objectives and goals
• Establish and implement strategies to quantify sales prospects for sales cultivation
• Maintain accurate records of leads, accounts and communications
• Close new business deals by developing and negotiating contracts
Qualifications:
• Ability to create and administer surveys and questionnaires
• Strong analytical skills
• Exceptional written and presentation skills
• Ability to utilize a wide range of technology to find, gather and present data in a meaningful manner to create strategic campaigns
• Demonstrated high motivation for the sales process
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
• Detail-oriented; able to multitask
• Ability to critically think with strong decision-making skills
• Proven ability to complete the sale through an effective sales presentation
• Ability to understand and utilize marketing research to create strategies to promote the value proposition of the institute and its products
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications & familiar with CRM software
• Ability to revise and adapt planning and campaigns as needed
Maximum starting salary: $37,042.
