Haverford College invites applications for our full-time (37.5 hours per week), exempt, benefits-eligible Associate Director of Reporting opportunity.
The position is responsible for creating, producing, and delivering reports for the Institutional Advancement division. The Associate Director will work closely with all departments in the division to ensure accurate and timely data delivery.All lists and reports are currently generated through Raiser's Edge. A new College-wide data platform may soon come online and the Associate Director will also be responsible for supporting this new system and learning its capabilities.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage the development, production, and distribution of Raiser's Edge reporting for Institutional Advancement and Haverford College, including tracking data requests to ensure information is supplied in a relevant and timely manner
- Partner with Prospect Research and Management, Philanthropy, and Planned Giving teams to understand and respond to their data needs and priorities. An important part of this work is to help identify overall trends and patterns in giving and different forms of engagement.
- Engage other colleagues in Institutional Advancement to learn about reporting needs and brainstorming solutions
- Coordinate Institutional Advancement's participation in peer benchmarking and other industry surveys
- Work with other departments and offices, including Institutional Research and Controller's Office, on data projects, both to obtain data for integrating into Raiser's Edge and to share information from Raiser's Edge to support other work
- Collaborate with Institutional Research, and Instructional and Information Technology Services on institutional data storage services
- As needed, train staff on Raiser's Edge functions
- Other duties as assigned
Work Location: This position will be eligible for a hybrid work schedule, pursuant to the College's Work Location Policy.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate's degree
- Three years of experience with Raiser's Edge/Blackbaud, plus other reporting tools
- Five years of progressively responsible and relevant experience in a professional environment
- Demonstrated thoughtful and collaborative project management skills, including managing multiple concurrent projects
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to complete complex tasks with minimal direction
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
- Customer service orientation
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential materials and situations with sensitivity, tact, diplomacy, and discretion
- Bachelor's degree
- Five or more years of progressively responsible and relevant experience in an educational or other gift-supported institution
- Knowledge of fundraising and annual giving
