Deputy Registrar II - Full Time

Franklin County's General Registrar Office is currently accepting applications for the position of Full Time Deputy Registrar II. Position performs highly responsible & integrated administrative functions in the office of the General Registrar including: assisting w/ maintaining voter registration records & determining qualifications of voter registration according to Code Section 24.2 of the Virginia Election Law; data entry of applicant information; preparing and maintaining files and records & assisting customers This position is appointed by the General Registrar & candidate must be a registered voter of the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Graduation from HS supplemented with courses in typing; computer operation, business or a related field w/considerable responsible clerical experience required. Associate's Degree with related election work highly preferred. Working knowledge of: Federal, State, local laws & regulations pertaining to citizenship; voter registration; elections & state election procedures preferred. Ability to maintain and protect voter registration lists & records required. Confidentiality is a must.

Salary Range: $33,479- $33,730 (DOQE) (+) great benefits.
