Senior Administrative Assistant for the School of Undergraduate Studies
Ferrum College is accepting applications for the full-time position of Senior Administrative Assistant for the School of Undergraduate Studies. This position provides clerical and secretarial support for the Dean of Undergraduate Studies as a key component of academic operations at the college.
Essential Functions:
• Maintain a positive and collaborative attitude with office colleagues while multi-tasking in a student-first environment.
• Provide administrative assistance to the Dean of Undergraduate Studies.
• Maintain budget information including processing and record-keeping of purchase orders, credit card statements, reimbursement forms, etc.
• Maintain confidentiality in handling contract-related paperwork, workload reporting, etc. for faculty in the School of Undergraduate Studies.
• Maintain and monitor physical inventory for areas supervised by the Dean of Undergraduate Studies.
• Data entry, typing, copying, collating, and other related work.
• Supervise work study students in support of needs in the School of Undergraduate Studies.
• Serve as a liaison for residential undergraduate education (one-stop shop for on-campus academics).
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree with strong communication skills, both written and oral.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites, including Excel.
• Proficiency in Google Suite, including advanced email functions and file sharing.
• Proficiency in editing and graphical design, preferably using Microsoft Publisher or Adobe products.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in supporting academics in higher education.
• Experience working with diverse groups.
